ABOUT CHARLES CORNELIS AND SHARON BRESLAU

Charles worked as an illustrator, graphic designer and art director for an advertising agency in New York City for many years where he handled the book publishing accounts. He was raised in Iowa where he spent his summers as a teenager detassling the corn. He loves painting in his studio and can be heard playing bass guitar in bands around Woodstock and NYC. Sharon has been an actress, director, and a wordsmith in NYC and Woodstock, NY. She spent her early years on a farm in Connecticut and got her love of organic gardening from her father Sam, who frequently delivered vegetables to the neighbors even when they did not want them.

"We met in 1986 in New York City's vibrant East Village and discovered the many things we had in common, especially our long term goals of healthy living, fun, and a spiritual connection to the world around us. We've been living in Woodstock, NY for the past 10 years where we have had the joy of watching our two children grow up--and yes, they both like eating vegetables! As soon as the children hit the planet we wanted to share our excitement about gardening, healthy living, reading, and our colorful world with them. The idea for our children's book immediately sprung to life. Now, after lots of poopie diapers, play dates, and school meetings our children have become exemplary students and healthy young adults. Whew! With more free time on our hands, we're making the dream of our first children's book, KNOW YOUR VEGETABLES, a reality.
